Black Belt grading Reg.

Use this form to register and pay deposit for brown and Black Belt gradings
SSK brown belts: One form, fixed sparring (take downs/throws) and free Sparring. (Including 2v1 sparring partners for BB candidates plus help with destruction materials – like generations before them).
SSK Black Belts (BB) candidates will perform multiple forms (senior BBs with weapons), fixed sparring, free sparring and destruction (initially with empty hand/foot, seniors with weapons).

 Kit Required:

1. Groin guard;  2. Gum shied; 3. Gloves;* 4. SSK UNIFORM*   5. Head guard;*  6. Shin and instep pads* 
(* SSK uniform compulsory, loan gloves and headguard available, if organizer decides yours is not suitable).
Recommended:
Food for all day, Water bottles,  small towel.


Grading format:

Grading starts and ends with Group Bow by all candidates.
• Forms: starting with brown belts (2nd Grade) progressing to more Senior Black Belts
• Fixed sparring: brown belts progressing to more Senior Black Belts
• Free Sparring: brown belt (2nd grade) group sparring based on weight as applicable
• Free Sparring: 2v1 (plus 3v1 for seniors only) Black Belt candidate v 2 brown belts
• Free Sparring: 1v1. Candidate v successful candidate from previous grading. (maintain consistency between gradings) and group sparring as appropriate
• Destruction: BB candidates only. (Punch tiles, chop Block/brick, kick wood etc)
Note: Order might be modified to enable Senior candidates to avoid successive bouts if possible

Safe gradings for candidates. (this is not competition).  It is however full contact sparring (16 oz gloves) and destruction of materials has possibility of risk;  minimised as much as possible if candidates are fully prepared.
